Investments in Internet infrastructure throughout Latin America are beginning to generate returns, particularly as consumers, businesses, government agencies, healthcare providers and educational institutions use Internet connections to access innovative services of cloud computing. In fact, the market for cloud computing in Latin America is expected to grow at an annual rate of 70 percent between 2012 and 2016. This is not surprising, since cloud computing provides users with an Internet connection, an accessible environment in a level of computing power that, until recently, was only available to companies who could supply large IT budgets and trained professionals.
